Release day


Very proud to be sharing The Princess of Vestria with the world.

 

The idea for this game came back in 2015, when a friend suggested using tarot to write an interactive story. The result was a story I never would have come up with, in a genre I wouldn’t normally choose to write… but one that captured me nonetheless.

 

I’ve worked on it in a few stints over the following years, a peculiar passion project I was never sure there was a market for (I’m still not!), but hey, “write what you want to read”, they say. And seeing the occasional friend/family member/stranger get excited when I described the project also gave me encouragement.

 

A few years into the development journey I discovered Twine - a marvellous tool for writing interactive stories, with all the functionality I could’ve pipe-dreamed and more. So my first thanks goes to those noble developers behind this incredible resource.

 

Other thanks goes to all my playtesters, who improved the game so much, even – nay, especially - when their feedback was tinged with rage. Thanks to the kind and welcoming community at intfiction.org, who gave me invaluable coding support over the years. I simply wouldn’t have been able to make this game without you. Not even with ChatGPT.

 

Finally, thanks to all who have supported and encouraged me in making something I’m very proud of.

 

And to anyone new reading this and about to give this a try for the first time, happy princessing!
